
ABOUT ME
Dr. Sandeep Bagla graduated with Honors from St. Georges University School of Medicine in 2002 before completing residency at Albany Medical Center in NY in Diagnostic Radiology, including being selected as Chief Resident. Dr. Bagla completed subspecialty training in Vascular & Interventional Radiology at George Washington University in 2008 and completed his Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Vascular & Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Bagla continues his robust clinical research career, from his experience in the Department of Neuroradiology at John Hopkins to his current experience in Cardiovascular & Interventional Radiology. He has personally pioneered research on topics from minimally invasive cancer therapy to the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. Dr. Bagla has served as the Principal Investigator of multiple clinical trials, focusing on: Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), Metastatic Cancer and Tumor Ablation, Spine Metastasis and Pain. He also investigated novel treatments for Pulmonary Embolism, Uterine Fibroids, and novel drugs for anticoagulation.
He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and currently reviews manuscripts for publication in two major medical journals: Journal of Vascular & Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular & Interventional Radiology. He has co-authored book chapters on Prostate Artery Embolization and has delivered numerous invited lectures at national and international meetings on topics including: Prostate Disease, Cancer, Pulmonary Embolism, Regulatory Affairs, Robotics, and Womens Health. Dr. Bagla currently sits on the physician advisory board of multiple worldwide medical device companies providing his advice for the future of cancer and robotic therapy.
Dr. Bagla thrives with his patient interaction and drive for excellent care. He enjoys his free time with his wife and family, and looks forward to time spent on his favorite hobby, cooking.
